Bringing in snakes?

Can anybody tell me what I would have to do to get snakes shipped or bring them across the border myself?Probably colubrids(corns and kings)but also boas.
Thanks for your time
Darren

Colubrids shouldn't be too hard you should just need a book on what they are, how ever for boids you will have to get CITES. If the snake is CITES I you probably won't get it accross the border unless you can prove it is capive bred.

I think Cranwill has dealt with colubrids and the boarder.

Yup, I have. I just brought books with pictures, common and latin names and marked the paragraphs that said they were "harmless".

They asked me to come in the customs building and show them the snakes and literature. Then they asked for the latin names and looked them up on a long list. After that they asked me a few questions like "what do they eat?", and "what are you going to do with them?". Just for their own curiosity.

It all went pretty smoothly.
