Feeding question

I posted last week and my bp ate her first rat. Yesterday(exactly a week after eating it) she was acting hungry again so i bought her one today and she ate it too and was looking for more. is this normal? I bought her in february/march and shes only about 2-2.5ft long. i got a bit smaller rat this week but it was still a small adult rat not a pup or weanling, because i took some advice that the one she ate last week was a little too big

Re: Feeding question

I usually feed my younger snakes a meal that is the same size as the widest part of their bodies once a week so it's pretty normal

Re: Feeding question

No I didn't but that's fine. Keep an eye on the lump the food leaves. It should be visible for 36h

As the snake gets older you can start feeding larger meals less often for example my adult eats one XL eat once a month

Re: Feeding question

I would say that the rats are too small, my royal eats twice a month, rats that are about 1.5 his girth

Re: Feeding question

I agree with Lady bug on this one.. When My royals where younger I fed a meal just slightly larger than their widest point every 7 days. As they get older I increase food size and feed less often.
