Re: My dog hurt his leg D:

Update:

It doesn't seem to be hurting him when he lays down. I consulted a friend of mine who is a vet tech. She said it sounds like it could be a really bad muscle tear. Also I found some duramax that my other dog (who passed away last year) was prescribed after having a tumor removed. That seems to be working wonders as my dog seems a lot less freaked out about his current condition.

Re: My dog hurt his leg D:

Sucks that things like this always end up happening at the beginning of a long weekend.
Hope everything works out and it's just a pulled muscle.

Re: My dog hurt his leg D:

I can't really tell if he's improving or not. I'm out of duramax and the aspirin made his tummy upset My stupid boyfriend let him out this morning then didn't watch him and he fell in the river. FML. I just wish tomorrow would come already, it's breaking my heart to see him in pain. If he were a younger/smaller dog I might not be as worried but he's old, very old for a mastiff.

Re: My dog hurt his leg D:

They can't/won't see him until 9:45 tomorrow morning! Guess they're dealing with all the other people's dogs who hurt themselves this weekend. It's only 1 more day but I'm so sick of seeing my big tough guy in so much pain. I'm so scared they're gonna tell me he won't be able to bounce back from this because of his age

Re: My dog hurt his leg D:

Well we did x-rays and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. Doc says King might have a partially torn cruxiate but we're gonna try him on some anti-inflammatory meds and a glucosamine regimin and see what happens.

Prognosis: He may be a big faker pants
