What are your temperatures reading? What are you measuring them with?
I keep my Amazons in bio-active enclosures- that is enclosures with live plants and bugs that allow for a self cleaning mini eco-system.

Re: atb
Yes, wet walls is normal. Most Amazons don't recognize standing water, so they drink water droplets from the glass, leaves, and even off of their own body.
You mentioned temperature guages. Analog guages are famous for being very off. I would recommend taking a trip to your local home improvement store and picking up a digital thermometer with a probe and a digital hygrometer. Those will give you a good exact temperature and humidity reading.
My enclosures range from 30 gallons (two babies) to about 75 gallons.
