built a new enclosure for my carpet python

its made out of 3/4" melamine and has sliding glass doors. built it for about $140.
4' wide by 2' deep by 3' tall

first i cut all the pieces to size

then started with the sides

added the front and back pieces

and then the glass

and it turned out like this. not bad for a first time

the carpet enjoying his new big enclosure

Nice. Very similar to the one I started but haven't finished it yet. Lol. Nice work.

Re: built a new enclosure for my carpet python

I had some time so I kinda just went at it full speed and got it done. Still need to add some perches and stuff but the majority of it is done.

WTG cool snake cage. You probably want to protect your snake from being burnt by screening off that ceramic heating element...

Good work, I like your cage. Did you know you can get white strips in a roll that you iron onto the unfinished edges that you can see the inside wood, it covers them up white so it looks like the rest of the melamine. They call it veneir (spelling?). Just thought you might be interested although the cage already looks great.

Yea all of the inside corners have it to add a lil bit of water proofing on top of the silicone. I'm not really to worried about the out side yet. Thanks for the heads up tho.
