Question As anyone ever seen their snake do that?

Yesterday this gai wouldn't eat. He had just finished shedding so i cleaned his cage while he was roaming around showing off. It was his first time shedding here i've only had him for a month and i read that you could feed it after. it's been 3 weeks since he ate so i thought i would be good and this happens. hahah anyone can explain this behavior? Also should i try feeding him every day until he eats or should i wait for his regular feeding day which is wednesday?

Wait a full week before you offer again.

Mine usually have a good feeding response right after a shed, but not always. Just keep offering every week and make sure your husbandry is spot on (90-92 hotspot, 77-80 cool side, 50+ humidity, enough hides). You can also try reducing the prey size a bit, easiest way to do this is to get a digital food scale to weigh the rats. Also, if you use a glass tank, you could "black" out 3 sides by using double sided tape to attach pieces of corrugated cardboard to insulate and cover the three glass sides, leaving the front open.

Wow, the really interesting thing about this video is how visual your snake is acting. Two different times it goes to check out its reflection in the glass. Hunting behaviour is normally based on smell and heat, so it doesn't seem to be in feeding mode at all.

Try covering the sides and back with some newspaper or something. He may not be feeling secure enough to want to take the risk of striking. Especially if you just cleaned the cage. Most his smells are gone, he may be wanting to figure out what happened inside his home. Wait a week before offering the food again. this will give him plenty of time to sort out his new surroundings.
