Hi there!
Hi everyone, pleased to meet you! I'm Kaity. I kept herps for thirteen years as a kid, but my parents forced me to re-home them when I started my first degree a couple years ago, since they wanted me to start out in the dorms. Now though, I'm moving in to an apartment complex that allows reptiles, so I'm searching for the perfect species to fill the big serpentine hole in my heart! I'm also a fan of field herping, despite the fact that living in southeastern MI doesn't have the biodiversity of more southerly locales. Anyway, I can't wait to soak up all the knowledge floating around (and hopefully contribute to it)!

Re: Hi there!
Welcome to the forum, Kaity! We're happy to have you
Do you have any pics of the reptiles you used to keep?
What kind of reptile are you thinking of getting now that you're moving into the apartment?

Re: Hi there!
Welcome back into the reptile world lol
I personally would suggest a BRB.. They're medium sized, my female is about 5 foot, maybe abit more and 3.5 ish years old (bad memory ). They're slender bodied so not too much to handle, stunning colours and usually pretty calm..
Goodluck with whatever you choose, and yes PICS of what you get please

Re: Hi there!
Well, thanks everyone. I don't have any photos of my old babies, but here's a cute little common garter I found today.
And a fake-artsy black and white one just for fun:

Welcome to the forum! We are like one big family and now we have another member of our family!
Do you want a snake, lizard, amphibian, turtle, tortoise? This will help with suggestions.

Re: Hi there!
Welcome! It's a jungle in here!
So where at in Michigan? I used to knock around by Grand Rapids and Niles.
@Teddy
She wants a snake because she has a serpentine hole in her heart.

Welcome! What did you keep as a youngster and what kind of snake are you looking for in general?
