Re: possibly a motley??

Never heard of a circle back. I just notices the lack of side patterns and wasn't sure. He is a friend of mine that I could make a deal with.

Those prices seem pretty steep to me. Don't know what the market is like out there though.

Re: possibly a motley??

Doesn't look like a motley to me. It looks like a circle back ladder tail at most

Re: possibly a motley??

If its a columbian het leopard, that would make it an integrade, not to mention het leopard is often a very visual morph on it's own. I think that best explains the odd pattern of this boa. I really like him myself, but still would prefer a longicauda.

Re: possibly a motley??

The clean sides are really throwing me off. As far as pricing goes they are rediculous here. There are no breeders in nb. There are a few that claim to be but I won't get into that here. This guy buys his rodents from me and told me whatever he can't sell he will give to me. I was going to offer him free frozen rodents if he would give it to me but I only wanted it if it was a motley.

Re: possibly a motley??

The clean sides threw me off for second until I read what it was being called. Het Leopard and integrade at the same time can call for some crazy looking animals. I never thought it was a motley though.. Probably not the greatest for any leopard project either..

I agree, but we have to try and stray from integrades lol! When they get questionable looking like this there's no telling how they could affect the genepool later on. Imagine it was sold a pure columbian circle back instead. Not dire consequences really, but Nicaraguans are much smaller then columbians, and typically(apparently...) more aggressive in nature. So I would view that as a bad thing myself... But I can't get over how cool some of them look, this one especially! I'll stick to carpet integrades as that's already been tampered with long before I got here, boas have seemed to remain somewhat pure. If only boa's weren't so variable and similar at the same time...

Re: possibly a motley??

Korbin if you want a really good breeder with good prices Greg Heckbert is in P.E.I, all my snakes are from him and I know many people that have his animals. I also know that The Brass Gecko here (does mainly geckos and balls) is getting into breeding boas, I know their BRB have been locking so they should have them this season and the other member is building her boa collection so she has some cool stuff coming.
