A possible gift?
My sister will be nine this year and ever since i had gotten my BRB she's LOVED snakes. I'm considering getting her one as a birthday gift and i'd like to know which kind would be easiest for her. Opinions?

Corn snakes are great snakes for young children.

Re: A possible gift?
Also lots of colors for her to pick from. Easy care too, so she can be responsible for it.

Re: A possible gift?
You could take her to a reptile expo and let her pick out a corn snake of her choice. Give her a budget and she can ask breeders what corn snakes they have and what price etc. She'll feel more responsible if she gets to pick it out herself and figure out the budget etc. she's at the right age to learn that sort of stuff too. You can teach her the set up, etc. And corn snakes are easy husbandry and care, so she can be responsible for it too

oh geez. That's expensive... or it depends on the morph it was. Take her to an expo- you'll find lots of availability, choice, and all at good prices

Re: A possible gift?
Hands down corn snakes. I have 3 and they are insanely easy to take care of.
I bought my first one for $45 online then my pair for about $75 each at an expo.
(the pair are pretty designer morphs though)
