Re: Tips and Tricks for My New Addition (Coming Thursday)
I'm on that forum, but don't post often.
By the way, you WILL get bit, lol. I took a bite on the nose not too long ago.
Amazons aren't like most other arboreals when it comes to perches. They don't coil on a single perch. They like three points or more of contact, so that's important to remember.
How many meals has this baby had, and of what? Often times babies don't take well to rodents, even captive bred babies. I've had to feed captive bred anoles, and use anoles for scenting, so be prepared for that. Also, a little brain casing tends to go a long way for these guys.

Sorry forgot this part
its had a bunch its been at the shop a while as far as I know it has a great feed response but did not do well on the floor of the shop so they moved it to an area with less traffic does better in its sterilite than in a glass viv and is feisty Ive seen it strike but close mouthed only.
what do you mean by brain casing?

Re: Tips and Tricks for My New Addition (Coming Thursday)
It sounds like it's very healthy, so you may not even have to worry about brain casing.
Brain casing steps:
1. Kill the prey item
2. Lay down a ton of paper towels or a garbage bag
3. Shove a sharp knife into it's skull
4. Push the brain matter out of the skull so it's dripping over the head
5. Try your darndest not to throw up
6. Feed
I usually forget step five.
