...and lack many fundamental features necessary for the proper husbandry of ball pythons. I have no doubt that Ricky will eventually get it right, but his line right now is terribly lacking and TERRIBLY expensive.

I'm with mikee on this one, the prices are insane, the hight/width ratio is a waste.

Re: Who makes the best cages in Canada?
I just know from experience how my snakes do in them and I've never once assisted with a shed or had to mess with temps or humidiy to get things operating correctly. They work amazing with my snakes and they're pricey but I bought a bunch of juvenile enclosure and some of the 3-piece ones with dividers a while ago before they increased in price. The sizing on the 3 piece without dividers works great for my boas and I have some 2 yr old balls I'm the 3 piece with dividers and they've got ample room in there.
I'm with you on the current pricing now though - he recenty jacked them up several hundreds dollars an enclosure, which is just nuts considering they were already really pricey. But I love them all the same and I've tried many different enclosures from monster cages, boaphile, cornels world and none rival rickys when it comes to quality and keeping humidity and heat in. Just from my own experience.

never having to assist with a shed or mess around much with temps and humidity can be attributed more to you as the keeper than those enclosures.

Re: Who makes the best cages in Canada?
Does it really need to be from canada?
I just got a cage specialized for arboreals from boaphile (i plan to put a carpet in there and i know you like carpets).
I've also had a good experience with herpcages.com
Both open from the front, made from materials which hold humidity, and could come with no top screen.

I want them form Canada so I don't get nailed with the shipping. From Boaphile I'll have to pay $140-160 for shipping, and that seems like ALOT !!

Unfortunately I'm mentally challenged when it comes to carpentry or even creative enough to know what I'd want/need when it comes to a custom cage, but give me a few hours with a pen and some paper and I'll write something that's thought provoking and powerful. I'm also short on friends that would know what to do with power tools and such.

Re: Who makes the best cages in Canada?
I don't have any experience with these myself but I know a few people have used the PVC enclosures from allreptiles.com. From what I hear they're similar to boaphile's cages. They don't have prices listed online, but This is a price I was emailed from them a couple months ago when I was inquiring about them. Like I said though, I have no experience with them but maybe somewhere here does.
24"x24"x12" **** $152.99
36"x24"x12" **** $215.99
48"x24"x12" **** $233.99
48”x24”x12” 1 Divider and 2 separate door*$279.99
48"x24"x12" w/ 2 Dividers and 3 separate doors $314.99
48”x24”x12” 3 Dividers and 4 separate doors $314.99
48"x24"x16" **** $243.99
48"x24"x16" w/ 1 Divider and 2 doors separate door $299.99
48”x24”x16 w/ 2 Dividers and 3 separate doors**$358.99
ARBOREAL
24"x24"x24" **** $251.99
36"x24"x24" **** $287.99

Re: Who makes the best cages in Canada?
The PVC is tempting but so expensive especially for the big tanks... I would need at least 2 more of the 4th x 2 ft and I meed a bigger one for my rtb
