Re: im getting my new animals on wednesday

Emperor scorpions are fairly easy to care for. I kept mine in a 10-gallon aquarium with 2 inches of substrate (1 part eco-earth plus 1 part calcium sand). Keep him fairly warm, but they don't need a real basking spot. I used a UTH set to 85F. That gave a temp of about 82 on the ground and ambient air of 80 or so. I keep my flat rock scorpions and tarantulas in my snake room now, with temps cycling from 78-85. I mist one to two times a day. Give cork bark hides, moss piles, and such for hiding and burrowing.

im going for a pink toe tarantula rather than the chilean rose as i prefer the intergate webs that the pink toe makes, will make it a more interesting spider to own

If you asked me id say you go with a pink toe as well. I think you would enjoy having it more then the rose hair.
