Hello, New from Florida
I have found this site interesting and informative and so have decided to join after only a couple of days reading!
I have an apricot milksnake baby which I just purchased about a week ago. I have been frantically reading all I can about milksnakes.
I also have a cat, a pair of Kweichow newts, four fire belly newts, a dusky salamander, a tiger salamander and some tropical fish.
Hello to everyone and hope that all your snakes are happy!

Re: Hello, New from Florida
I am not sure how to post pictures on this forum. I have a few of my Kweichow newts but none of my snake yet. My Pueblan Apricot milksnake Ci Ci (short for Cecilia) I have only had for a week. I fed her a pinkie mouse this evening. I took her out and handled her a bit first. I know she hadn't eaten in at least 11 days. She was really great for awhile - all curled around my hand like a beautiful piece of jewelry, but more beautiful still. Didn't musk me or anything but after a couple minutes became like a wild thing so I put her back in the small plastic cage. I put the mouse down but she just looked at it and then burrowed under the bark like she has been doing. So I put the cage back in its regular place and went upstairs for awhile. When I came back and looked about a half hour later the mouse was gone! My cat, of course was very interested in the whole proceedings.
I will try to get a picture - I have a good digital camera but its hard with snake in one hand. When she's set down on the bark she just burrows under immediately.

Re: Hello, New from Florida
Just saw one of my Kweichows in an epic battle with a night crawler. Took it down into the water dish and was swallowing it. Then I went downstairs. Came back up and no worm to be seen.
This is a picture of the pair when I first got them five months ago.

Oh man they are so cool looking. They look like dinosaurs. Can't wait to see more pics of them and your other animals.
