OMG that is one beautiful snake. The colors are so vibrant. Do you think they are so nippy because in the wild they would be easy to detect with those colors and they have to be on the defensive all the time?

Actually they blend in quite well.
A wild herping photo I received in an email..
a photo from a friend, that's a baby rat in the snakes mouth.
They are just an aggressive species, the are semi aquatic, hence the long slender tail, it's for swimming.
