Shedding Problems?

My argentine I aquired in september has only shed once. She was about 1 month old when i aquired her. She shed about a month and a half after getting her. She is eating fine and defecates on schedule. Is this a sign of a problem or jsut a wierd shedding habit?

Thanks for your responses

Did she shed in one piece? How often are you feeding her? Is the prey the right size for her?

The more you feed your snakes, the more they will shed and grow fast.. maybe you should try to feed it more or bigger prey.

anyway keep us updated

I don't own a boa but one weaned mouse sounds like a really small meal for a boa. You should feed a mouse/rat that is as big around (fat) as the fattest part of your snake...or even a little bigger. Once every 5-7 days is good.

I don't know the size of your snake but she surely could eat an adult mouse or apropriate size of rat. Maybe that's why she has not shed in a while.

I hope you are feeding F/T

Hey! I am happy to report that today, when I woke up, Sydney (my argentines' name) had cloudy eyes and was very defensive! Thanks for all the responses!
