what a scare!!!

So Im cleaning cages before feeding, I set one of my 2 yr old girls on the bed turned around and got to work on her cage, I turn back around and I see a tail on the back wall assuming she decided to go behind the bed. I go to grab her and realized she had squeezed herself into an outlet hole in the wall well the problem with snakes when you grab them to pull on them they fight back...so Im screaming for help lol even though Im the only one there..I start thing tugg-a-war with my boa (who ive since a baby! very important to me) the metal bracket around the hole starts to come off as Im making no progress to get her out, i see the top of the bracket is cutting into her back and if I pull anymore will open her up. Suddenly she start to run into the wall...more screaming..I look under her belly and see a screw has come lose and is stabbing her, hence why she is running now. With more screaming I use one hand to hold her from running and another to use brut women strength to move the screw, my finger is now bleeding lol I then yank the thing out of the wall and slide it off, as soon as this was gone she came right out. ugggg My heart was racing and my forehead was sweating but no injuries on the my boa and she is now in a tub..Im an idiot!!! anyway here are some pictures to illustrate...

wheeeww!!

Holy Mackerel Batman! That was definitely a close call, I so glad that she is ok and wasn't injured. I bet your arms will be sore tomorrow! Thank god for "brut women strength"

Re: what a scare!!!

So glad that turned out well.

A friend of mine had one of his favourite garters get into the wall, he destroyed the sheet rock, but got her back..

I had to slice up a perfectly good chair once, My Pueblan got inside the upholstery.

So rest assured, you are NOT an idiot.

Re: what a scare!!!

Oh no! That must have been terrible to go through....I'm so glad you got her out safely. I had a baby snake escape and get stuck to a roll of duct tape once- it was terrible...we got her off ok, but I was so upset, and afraid it would pull her skin off. Snakes arent' very smart in their escape tactics...
