Grendl '10 MBK

Just sharing some pics of our little Mexican Black Kingsnake. He's taken some getting used to and we've learned to keep paper towel handy to clean up as he almost always musks when we take him out. He's usually better once out for a bit though. And he's very aggressive with his food, chomping down and flailing it about for quite some time before swallowing it

Thanks guys

Freebody, I picked him up from 2 Monsters Exotics at the Calgary fall show. If I recall Triple-R-Corns had a few speckled MBKs.

Re: Grendl '10 MBK

We have an adult male here in the university's biology department. I have always admired him and his original owner works here, so he gets handled quite regularly. If nanna hadn't bought all of those corns I might think about one. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Grendl '10 MBK

There's something about that solid, glossy blue-black that's just hot. My little boy does have 2 tiny ivory specs on the left side of his neck and 2 small scales under his chin that are white, time will tell if those will fade to black, though I've heard the chins scales usually don't.

Re: Grendl '10 MBK

Thanks He's taken some adjusting too, a bit different than our Corns. We have to take everything out of his 10g tank because it's like trying to catch a fish in water he's so fast under his aspen, then when we do catch him and pick him up he flails and musks everywhere. Once he's had a moment to calm down though he's a pleasure to handle and doesn't even mind me touching the top of his head! I'll try to get some more pictures up in the next couple of days.
