California Kingsnake

Not really any questions here, but im buying a 3 year old Female California Kingsnake next week, off a person who doesn't have the time to spend with her, she comes with a full set up, for 50 pounds, not bad.
He says that she's hardly ever been handled though, but feeds and sheds just fine, but she may be a bit snappy. Id just like some info off people who own or have owned Kingsnake's, anything really? I have done my research on the net, but getting experienced peoples bits of knowledge helps aswell.
I have 2 corns aswell, and looking at getting a BRB and a Ball python later this year , thanks matt

king snakes are alot like corns (care wise) my mexican black is a bit flighty but is getting increasingly better with handling. short rounds of handling multiple times a day is better than one long one once (so handle for 10 or 15 min 2 or 3 times a day instead of once for an hour)
i keep my cage at about 80-82 degrees and a basking area about 87 ish. I would not be too concerned with the temperature (as long as it is within a certain range) because in nature the temperature varies some people get really hung up on the temp. (i am not saying let it got willy nilly but in the 80's is as specific as it really needs to be) i use shaved aspen for substrate and a coconut and a log for a hide.
if you have any specific question about anything i will be happy to help as best i can and remember there is no one right way to care for a snake just a hell of a lot of wrong ways

Thanks mate, yes i thought they'd be quite similar to corns, thats about the same temp as my corns aswell, like you say there is not a consistent temperature naturally, as long as its in a certain range, Thanks again,
once ive got my camera sorted i'll post some pics of my corns and soon to be acquired Kingy, cheers, matt
