naming a snake

im planning on getting a female cinnamon ball python in the next few months. ive been contemplating a name for it but my fiancee keeps going
"your gonna name a snake? really? its a...snake. it doesnt need a name."
so far i have come up with
Cinny, Eve, diamond & amethyst (after my 2 favorite gems)
i personally prefer Cinny short for "cinnamon" because it would be a cinnamon ball.
hmm decisions decisions.

Re: naming a snake

Cinny or Cindy would be a great name.

I agree with Hillary- I can never name a snake until I personally see and hold it and get an idea of its "personality" or "snake-anality"...lol.

Re: naming a snake

(sorry in advance for sounding a bit anal) it could get a bit confusing if you call it diamond.if you then refer to your diamond in a post people might think your talking about a diamond python.amethystina is also an australian python so amethyst might cause confusion too.like hillary and willow i like to watch my new snake for a bit, then give it a name that feels right.but at the end of the day the names up to you,why not call it after your fiance and wind him up for a bit, haha
cheers shaun

p.s.i named my first female snake eve.
