Eastern Indigo's Copulating!!!

Burmation, not nessicarily typical

Depending on who you talk to on the subject you will find a wide variety of opinions on when & how to cool. Many people believe it is important for the female to be "cool" for a good part of the time she is gravid, where others think they should be burmated/bred the same as all other colubrids. There seems to be a lot of conflicting opinions on the subject, along with much "trial & error". We are hoping that things work out the way we are going about it, but only time will tell. We had a friend "lose" all his eggs from 2 clutches last year by following a more tradtional "colubrid cycle" & another whose female became eggbound, so we are going to try things a little bit different & hopefully more sucessfully.
