Yes; that's a good part of the reason why I've enjoyed our BP so much! I do miss the snake being out in the daytime, though; BPs being nocturnal means we have to wait until the sun goes down or sort of close to that time to see him usually. But then, the milk snake spent a lot of time burrowed under the substrate, so I guess it's really 6 of one half dozen of the other kind of thing. At any rate, I'm really happy that my DH wanted a BP and we got one.

Oh, you're home-schooled? Cool! At least, I think so. I home-schooled my sons for awhile. I still have friends who home school.

So what kind of rock 'n' roll do you like?

and I have to add, that even though I really like our BP's handleability, I would still like another milk snake or king snake. They're pretty snakes.

Problem is size:
Quote:
Adult size can range from just over 4 feet to monstrous specimens measuring nearly 7 feet. Average adult size is between 5 and 6 feet with larger and smaller individuals being the exception.
from Brazilian Rainbow Boa

Katrina needs a snake with a max length of 5 ft. I don't know if she can persuade mom to let her go bigger . . .

They are truly gorgeous snakes, though!

ya they are and yes they do range from 5-7 feet normally. there are rare cases of 4 footers but those usually aren't kept in the right sized tanks. but they stay relitively slender and at 7 feet barely get over 10-12 pounds.

The adult size of any reptile is not hindered by the size of it's enclosure.

Re: New Member

Brazilian rainbow boa? Ive never seen one before, do they get over 5ft? they sound pretty.
i like good old fashioned rock the kind that you never hear anymore. and i also like jet, nirvana, led zeppelin, ac/dc, but i do like modern rock just not as much. ill listen to any music really i like all types of music (rap, country, pop, techno, rock, classical, and i realy like Japanese music too) just depending on the song if i like it, i like it if that makes sense.

oh before i forget, i put up some of my artwork on my page if you care to look at it. please comment, i would love to hear your opinions.
