Hello All!

Hello, I am Holly, I tend to collect animals. At this point we have 1 blood python, 1 bearded, 1 iguana, 2 dogs, several fish, 4 turtles and 3 hermit crabs.

Re: Hello All!

I know this my sound silly, but I do have a question. This is my first blood python, and she is confusing me. How often does she go to the bathroom? She has 1 rat per week, eats well, and doesn't act as if she has to go. Seems all my others were more regular. Can anyone help? Thank You!

Re: Hello All!

Pythons can hold out for longer than a lot of other snakes, but if goes much longer than 2 months I would try a slightly warm water soaking....usually stimulates them to pass. And it makes sure there isn't an impact issue going on.

Re: Hello All!

I always use the 3 feeds then poop rule. ie if they haven't pooped after having three meals then they don't get fed until they do. As already mentioned a soak helps, and also just some excersise can often do the trick.
Cheers
Paul
