what's going on?
i've recently aquired a male to breed to my 1.5 year old female crested, but im having some difficulties. whenever I introduce the male he goes right for the ffemale and bites her (wherever he can get a hold of her) and she usually freaks out and "runs" away to hide. if they're in an enclosure where there isnt anywhere to hide and he's near her she will flatten her self out and waive her tail like a worm (defensive behaviour?). im wondering if this is in any way normal or if something's going wrong. and if so if anyone has any ideas..send 'em my way!!!
any help would be appreciated,
josh

Pretty much accurate...
That's how the "mating ritual" begins..
He will grab whatever he can and move his way yup to her head, biting the whole time... you will hear a lot of sqeaking and grumping from the female too...
Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard them.. I had to seperate them I didnt want my male hurting my female!!!
Let me tell you....
I am glad I am not a crestie!!!!
