question!!!

ok ninja has been chillin and i took his cage top off to clean out some feces and i heard him kinda snorting, is that bad? and should i take him to the vet if this is happening?

Snorting? Hmm... could he possibly have leftover shed over his nostrils? Other than that, I'd say you have the beginnings of a respiratory infection. I just went through this with my guy. His was more of a puffing sound than a snort though. To be on the safe side, I'd bump your temps up a bit and see if it goes away. If not, then yep, I'm afraid a visit to the vet is probably in order.

ya i had the same problem with one of my corns when i first got him but nice temps and some good meals and he's just fine now

well not really snorting...but just imagine theres something in your nose and you're in public and you wanna get it out so you shoot little puffs of air through to get it out...

Sounds like he could be coming down with an RI to me. If you notice it has a bit of a "wet gurgle" sound to it than it'd be a safe bet that it is indeed the culprit. As an RI worsens, you may notice "bubbles" formed of mucous build up popping from the nostrils or mouth of your snake. Although, by then, it's pretty advanced and your snake would be in really rough shape.

As already stated, bumping your temps up can sometimes cause an RI to clear up. If however after a few days things are still gurgling, see a vet.
