Heating a room

Well I have an entire room in the basement in which I need to heat. The problems are, the house is a bit on the older side. Therefor the wiriing is not all that great. You can't have too many outlets being used at one time. The room itself is only about 7x10, or thereabouts. I'm using a space heater for now, and it is working great. But I know that they really suck the electricity, and shoot your bills way up. So i'm just wondering what other people use??? I think that's everything for now. Thanks in advance for any advice or opinions.

I just use a space heater for my room as well, and at 1500 watts, they definitely suck up the hydro. JB made a suggestion in a previous thread on space heaters I remember though...
