just wondering what type of substrate i can use for plated lizards........right now they are in sand and id like to change it to sumthing that doesnt get all over everything
my male loves to burrow so id prefer to get sumthing he can dig in.
has anyone heard of corn bedding.........its lil pellets and is for rabbits etc...non dusty.
so any suggestions would really help.....id love to get rid of the sand as soon as i can
so i guess whatever beardies and malis can be kept on would be fine for a plated lizard
ty for the help
sand is about the best thing for a plated lizard its closer to their natural habitat than anything else, but as for the mess, ya gotta deal with it, i mean its sand it cant be that bad or can it? you could try using potting soil, oh wait thats even worse of a mess, but my advice is just stick with the sand
