The colour isn't properly represented because this was taken with a webcam... I will get some better shots if people would like to see them better.

This is actually my first painting involving birds. I am fairly versatile in painting these sorts of things so it wouldn't be overly hard to do one with other species.

I LOVE your painting. Out of all the macaws I think the Hyacinth Macaw are the most beautiful. If this is your first parrot painting you did an amazing job. I have a friend who paints alot of parrot paintings. Mark Hagen loves his work and has bought about 10 of his paints. He did a painting of two of my birds and it made the cover of an American parrot mag. Here's is the painting of my guys

You should check out this sight for artists.

Great job

Aidan, nice painting. What kind of paints do you use? And what do you paint on? I'm talented at drawing but want to start painting a bit, I've dabbled in watercolours and liked it, but would like to get a bit into your style more.

Brock, I use mainly acrylics (watered down) and masonite boards. This is on canvas because it was part of a group assignment for my nature and culture course at OCAD. Thank you all for the kind words and thanks for the site Ginette.
