I am curious

Hello, I am just wondering something, I already have my next wonderfull reptile picked out and partially payed for, but my girlfriend is trying to figure out what to get(we each always pick a reptile), and a vield cham always catches her attention.

I have a question about them though, any of you know about those cool little cages they sell now? they are made by exo terra, with the rock looking wall at the back..

any one know if those cages are good for a vield? i would get the biggest one(its like 2 feet high about)

or do they not have enough air flow? would one of those all mesh cages be better?

thanks in advance

I've seen those exoterra cages, and while they're amazing I wouldn't use one for a chameleon. Chameleons should have at least three sides of their cage made out of mesh (for proper airflow)

A reptarium would be better. I'm not sure about the size for a veiled though.

Good luck!

the larger the better.. best way to put it.. i wouldnt have one shorter than 4 feet... id say 4hx3wx3l is ideal but like i said the bigger the better mine is 5 tall by 3.5 l at the bottom and 5 at the to and 2 wide (its an upside down L)

The "formula" I use for my chameleons when deciding on cage size is height (4xadult length) length (3Xadult length) width (2xadult length).

Anyone use this or am I weird? LOL.

I'd say that's a good formula to use, but you could still be weird even if everyone else uses it.
