water dragon
We have the niceest lady water dragon and I want to keep her healthy. She was wormed when we got her in April do I need to do her again at regular intervals? If so with what?
If anyone in the Calgary area maybe even Edmonton has a nice male that needs a home I would like to talk.
Thanks

REH:
Have fecal exams run anually to ensure theres no parasites. Worming should only be done if absolutly nessecary. The medications haven't proven to be 100% safe in the long run, so always use with caution. Worming med's can be very harsh on any animals system.
To keep her healthy, keep all of her setup proper (temps, hides, humidity etc) keep the enclosure clean, offer a large water-pan with CLEAN water at all times. Provide UVA/UVB full-spectrum lightning. Do these things, and you wont have any issues.
Good luck!

Thanks
Keeping her humidity is the hardest but I will get a misting system soon. Her cage is 4 feet by 4 feet by 2 feet with plants a pond and a yuca tree to climb and Zoomed lights.

sounds really good. I will add, you can just buy a regular spray bottle and give her a spray a few times daily (spray well) and it would be adequate.

That is what we do but I would like to keep it a little more stable. Out here that air is very dry. I put a box of moss that we soak also that sure helps.

Make sure that you watch for mold on the moss, heavy moisture will mold quickly, and it'l cause health problems.. I know this from expierience.. Did you ever consider making a water fall? if you use a regular fish pump/filter, you can create a water fall. These guys like to drink running water, and it'd also help with humidity if it ran along leaves from the plant you've got.

Good idea but I have no idea what to build it from.

as for the moss box, i find it is more effective to use sponges instead of moss, that way they can be reused and you dont have to worry about anything nasty on the moss.
