I got my new bci on Thursday, it is going in its new cage tonight. I think I will offer it a large f/t rat in 2 weeks. Does that sound good, it gives him awhile to adjust. He is 7 feet so 2 weeks won't hurt
Two weeks certainly won't hurt him at that size, but offering him food sooner wouldn't hurt either -- in general I give new additions a couple of days to settle in before I offer food, but I've had some take food the same night I brought them home as well
I got mine the 27th.. he's only 20-22" though.. Fed him a fuzzy mouse the 28th.. he settled in quite quickly and never hissed/bitten at all.. then today (4th) i fed him a hopper as the fuzzy didn't even leave a lump in him. Can't believe how hard thing guy hits and takes them down yet how he wont even open his mouth or any tihng when my hand is in the cage. Very docile!
