Who plays the Geetar?!

Just wondering if there were any guitar players in here, always wondered, now I have finally asked! If you do, what songs do you play, or if you make up your own what scales do you use.

I play more of the blues and old 70's classics...great stuff. I am playing an Ibanez right now(semi-crap haha) hope to get a fender telecaster real soon! Have almost been playing for three years now, getting better...but still lots to learn!!

I've been "dabbling" for the past 15-odd years. Almost went somewhere with it too.

I mainly play a US Strat (Tex Mex pickups) but I have a few backups as well. I actually wish I had gone Tele instead but I'm sure I haven't bought my last guitar yet. I've been so focused on the snakes that past few years, it's about time I started building this studio I've thought so much about. Maybe in 2006.

Like Cranny, I have also been dabbling for the last 15 years, although I can't say I've really even picked up my guitar in about 2 years. I'm a singer first, a drummer second, and a guitar player third.

My favorite guitar by FAR is the Jackson Charvel. I own a 24 fret (22 doesn't cut it here!) Yamaha that I've had since I was 13. Next year may be the year I buy a drum kit.

I play guitar, started about a year ago so im not that great. I can play a couple tunes. Im mostly into acoustic stuff, like dashboard. I just recently got a guitar teacher and I have noticed a huge improvement in the way I play so im stoked about that.

I play. I have three Alvarez's. One accoutic/electric six string cutaway, one classical, and a 12 string. I've been playing for about 5 years now. My dream guitar is Doyle Dykes Signature Model Taylor. Im a big fan of Doyle Dykes. I got him to sign my six string...yay!

If you have high speed, go to http://www.doyledykes.com/default1.htm and go to his Music page and watch one of the Harvest video clips.

Its nothing short of absolutely amazing.

I have attempted to play bass guitar. I really like it and have no intention on playing a guitar (acoustic or electric) b/c there are too many frets and strings! >laugh< I really like the bass. I'm pretty shoddy at it, course I'm not so good at taking the time to practise. Great now I feel guilty.

Bass guitar is a bit different than playing other guitars. The fets are bigger so you have to stretch. Trying to play the other guitars just seems so precice compared to the big ol' frets on bass.

Vanan in my opinion is pretty good at guitar (course I have to say that!). I've heard Ryan (SCALES Zoo) a few times to and he ain't half bad either!

Sounds like a Sask band is forming. Now, can Sheila sing?

Too bad the name "Cypess Hill" is already taken!

I should have gotten a teacher from day 1. My friend started playing at around the same time I did, he got lessons from a really amazing guitar teacher and i didn't. I think I play a bit more than he does, but by far he is sooooooooo much better, he can play anything! A lot can be learned from lessons, too bad I did not take them back then when i had more spare time.

I just started learning from a friend. He teaches lessons all the time, and offered to teach me for free

Think your so funny, eh "Crannie"?

Actually, there's a few people in town that can play occasionally they get together and jam.

Huh? Is that meant to be playful sarcasm or rude sarcasm? With no smiles, it's hard to tell.
