Here it is! My worst (only) bite picture. Sustained today, required zero stitches and zero dollars in medical bills to close up the wound, or lack thereof...

Worst bite I took was my form my Blood, I really wish now that i took pics, she left a good imperssion of her teeth and I had some lovely coloring from blue to purple that lasted a good week lol. My most recent was from my baby Savnnah Mika, My bad i was feeding the snakes befor i left for classes and went to change her water without washing (stupid me) she latched on and only left a couple little marks but a week later my finger swelled to 3 times it's size and i'm still finishing up my dose of massive antibiotics. To boot i was running a fever of a 103 my dr suggested i get rid of her jokingly but we now keep prescription aintobiotic onitment thanks to my doc, on hand at all times lol.

The Worst or only bite Ive had was from a ridgetail monitor that grabed me between my thumb and finger. He wouldnt let go until I walked downstars into the kitchen and poured viniger on its head!
Has any one here ever get bit by a turtle?

Here's the list of bites I've received in incereasing severity. I have no pics:

Juvie tokays: skin not even broken,

Baby bullsnakes: occasionally I get a pin-prick of blood, but usually no penetration.

Cal kings ranging from baby to adult: worst was being bit an constricted for several minutes by an adult. Was a bit of blood, but no scarring.

1.5 foot Columbian B&G Tegu. This was a quick bite as I was letting him go in a bin for a move to another cage. As I released him, he spun, grabbed my finger, hung for a second and dropped into the bin. A lot of blood, a flap of flesh almost torn off. Pretty much bone deep, but no nerve or tendon damage.

Ironically, it was the tegu bite that cured my fear of bitey snakes. When you know what even a medium sized lizard can do, the dozens of tiny needles in most snakes mouths dont seem so bad anymore, although that retic bite pic is something else.

I am thinking of selling my retic. if you are interested and have the time for this animal leave a reply. His name is striker but he is a fairly mellow guy who doesnt mind being held.

robinsky...SELLING??? your retic??? You have a snake that can get to be over 30 feet long! AND you already got bit by him once! NO-ONE the least bit compatent will give you money for it. Try paying someone to take it...you MIGHT have better luck.

I don't have pictures of it, though I'm sure I could get some of the scar tissue, but when I was about 6 or so I had an adult male iguana latch on to my thigh, lock his jaws and go into rolls.
Yeah, he ripped a huge chunk out of my leg and it took something like 60 odd stitches to fix me back up.
Apparently he was in the middle of breeding season. I don't know what ended up happening to him. My family was visiting with some friends and I went wandering in the house. The iguana was free roaming and either he though I looked like a good mate or that I was invading his turf.

bahreptiles, could you explain what led to your retic biting you. Just curious that she bit you after 7 years of good behaviour.
