Sad Day - Lost a Family Member

Today, I lost my Sassy girl, my first Veiled Cham in my collection. She was almost 5 years old, and has laid many clutches and had many healthy babies in her long life. We have had a difficult few weeks, with her sitting in the bottom of her laying bin with no egglaying activity and no appetite. I have showered her, bathed her, given her extra calcium supplementation ( bone aid ) and electrolyte and appetite stimulant to help keep her hydrated and nourished. Today she laid a clutch of 76 eggs and approx. 1 hour later she died. One last valiant effort from my girl. Sassy, we will miss you and always love you. She has taught me so much throughout the years about her species - invaluable knowledge.
RIP, Sassy, my sweet girl.

Thanks for the replys. I am still in mourning. It was a huge clutch. I think a little much for an elderly chameleon. Eggs look fertile, despite not having been mated in a very long time. So hope to have a little Sassy down the road.
