My Friends BP

I have a friend that has a BP and i use to be roomates with him two years ago when he got him. The BP was doing awsome feeding good and was nice to handle. I moved to a different city about a year and a half ago i went back to visit my friend and the BP was the same size as he was when i left. I asked him if there was anything wrong with him and he said no just that he wasnt able to fed him on a regular schedual (spelling) because he is gone alot with work so i offered to take him off his hands but he didnt want to seperate with him. I am just curious if the Bp will ever grow to his full size now or will he be stunned from bad diet that he has been on. He doesnt look starved or anything like that but he looks the same as he did when he was 6 months old and he is 2 years old now. Let me know what i could do to help the snake get back on track and taking him away from his owner is not an option and all negative remarks arent needed in this thread so keep them to your self. I know that my friend has gotten someone living at the house that wont mind helping out when he is gone. let me know if you think that he can get back to a normal size and what diet would be best for him thanks.

Well, once a week is a pretty good schedule, and f/t rats a little larger than the largest part of his body would be a good plan. You can try feeding more frequently than that. My BP eats every 2-3 days. It really all depends on how much the snake will eat. It doesnt hurt to offer frequently.

In terms of growth, Im not entirely certain if the snakes growth will be stunted or not, but Im pretty sure that most snakes continue to grow all their lives, although their growth rate will slow significantly once they reach adulthood.

Either way, the snake needs to be fed more frequently, or at least regularly. It is sad the snake is not in your care. I hope his owner will come to remember his responsibility toward his pets.

Male snakes tend to be smaller than females, and their size in general can vary from 3 to 5 feet. If you knew the specific length and gram weight of the snake, then people would be able to offer more detailed insights about his current condition.
