Got some better pics of the cresties I got from the show..

Also wanted to know if my new ball pythons enclosure is sufficent. Ive never put them in rubbermaid's before so.

Here is how they're stacked. That light in the top left gives 92 to the ball rubbermaid (black) and 83 to the two white rubbermaids with the cresties in them.

83 is pretty warm for crested geckos...

While you can have a basking area for them anywhere from 78-84 degrees, I doubt that applies to a teeny tiny rubbermaid :\

I would also suggest getting enclosures with more height, these are aboreal geckos and it would seem cruel to treat them as a land gecko. 83 degrees is too warm especially for a baby gecko. I would scrap the idea of a basking area, unless your house is freezing.

If your Ball python is in any of those rubbermaids I would suggest securing it better. A snap down lid will not stop a ball from getting out, there is to much play on the sides. Dril holes in the lid on the side and feed S hooks through, like this....

this way it takes away from any play on the lid that would allow your ball to escape. I put 8 S hooks pet rubbermaid. 3 on the length and 1 on each of width, all the way around the cage.

That black PVC will NOT allow heat into it, so you've left only one way for you BP to get heat, to be out of the hide that they spend 95% of their time in. Time to rethink the setup for the BP.

That is assuming he is using lights as a heat source. I use PVC pipe cut in half in my cages with an UTH. The heat radiates up so I don't have to worry about the heat penetrating the PVC. I can't tell from the pictures if he is using an UTH or light.

I think that means it's just the light that's being used to heat these enclosures..

Thanks for the replies.

I placed the probe under the hide and thats where it was 93.

As for the cresties, ill move them to taller rubbermaids and my room is at 79-80 so I assume that is fine.

also the cresties rubbermaids look kinda sparse. hard to tell without seeing the inside, but makes sure there's alot of foliage as they feel safest hidden in there.
