next big reptile show?
Hey guys wondering if anyone can tell me when the next big reptile show is. It is in calgary if im not mistaken. And how I could go about getting a VIP pass. Need to pick up a new female nosy be . Ill be looking for a sub adult any ideas on the prices for nosy be's? And who would be a good vendor to go to?
Thank you in advance
Wade
Meow im sorry I blew up on you like that. My emotions were just way out of whack that day. But what do you think I meant by giving her supplements. Calcium and multi vitamins I was giving her throughout her gravid stage. I dont know where you got the idea I only started giving it to her three days before she died. It really bothers me how the eggs didnt calcify even though she was getting calcium every day to every second day. I geusse she just wasnt meant to be. But know I know to not purchase baby females without having a mate for her. I would have if it wasnt so bloody hard to find reptiles in winnipeg. But anyways. Again im sorry. By the way meow not to offend you or anything but are you male or female ive never been able to figure it out, unless Im just missing something.lol.

The next big show in is in Toronto this weekend.
There is still the misconception that a female has to be mated. A normal healthy female will easily pass unfertilized eggs. I have had many F. lateralis, a few F. pardalis, and even a female F. minor lay unfertile eggs. These were all CB animals. Now I have a WC female F. major with no mate. She is on her third unfertilized clutch and looks awsome.
Have you sent her off for the necropsy yet?

I barley had money for the first vet exam. I dont have money to get a necropsy. So i geusse its my fault she died if they pass unfertile eggs so easy then? Maybe the calcium I was giving her was really not calcium at all then hey. She died of egg binding i dont really think a necropsy is needed. the xray showed that. If the vet would have just been straight forward with me knowing she wasnt going to make it I could have borrowed money for surgery to get the uncalcified eggs removed. Sure she wouldnt be able to reproduce again but I would have had my baby still. That is how the vet killed her, he knew she wasnt going to make it but just decided to tell me she was going to be fine. Im not a vet who am I to argue.
I was asking about the calgary show, sorry must not have made that very clear. Would really like to know when it is.

Im no expert but theres still a slim chance of her living after the eggs are taken out. He probly saved you alot, cause he probly knew that it she wouldnt make it. But this is my observation.

lol. Ok obviously we missed the point of this post. I want to know when the next calgary show is, or the next big one that isnt this weekend. I dont know if they have VIP passes for calgary I was just asking.
No offence meow but first of all you have no idea of her condition, secondly Do you know anyone or have talked with anyone who has had this procedure done on their chameleon?
Anyways its all over now and I would appreciate it if everyone would stop bringing up the subject, she was very dear to me and it hurts enough just thinking about her on my own, none the less to have you guys keep on reminding me. Sorry

O.k the posts are just everywhere, and the sorry at the end i didnt really understand, but ill take that appology. But you have posted on another thread about the condition of your female so i do know what happened. I did not bring the topic up in this post but yourself, if you wish to drop it then fine. All you have to do is ask Matt or a Mod/Admin to close your other thread if you wish not to continue with it
