Technically they are termed gravid, since they have eggs. If she is indeed gravid, you will be able to see eggs in her belly. There will between 1-4 (1-2 is more common though) large pinkish ovals in the lower part of her abdomen. You can somtimes see them through the side, but it's easiest to get a good luck to look at her from beneath. She may also show a change in appettite.
