How is that bad? I find it odd how some members who wish that other people become more educated and tolerable of their hobbies/interests are closed-minded towards others.

I find it interesting. You have to understand that there are other culters than our own. If there was a listing for monkey brain on e-bay I would have posted that too. (for those that dont know, it is a delicasy in some parts of the world to have fresh monkey brain right out of the monkey that is killed in front of you in the restaurant).
Different strokes for different folks!
I thought it was illegal to sell alcohol on ebay?

Indiana Jones and the temple of doom had a scene with the monkey brain right out of the skull. The monkey was sitting on the plate and its skull was cut out so that the brain was sitting in a "bone bowl"

I respect that...to each his/her own. But I still find some things repulsive.
The snake wine made me think of the oldtime medicine travelers who sold snake oil or snake heads mixed with all sorts of peculiar ingredients that nearly killed or did kill many folks.

That's right, but the real way is much more gruesome.
The monkey is in a box with only it's head protruding, and it is kept in place with a metal brace, like you see people wearing with neck injuries. The customer is then given a mallot to bludgeon the monkey to death, at which time the brain is eaten right out of the still warm monkeys body.
Sorry for the graphic detail, but it's the truth.

As per snake oil killing a bunch of people back in the day, there are ten of of thousands of prescription drug related deaths each year. It's disgusting that we have such false confidence in our medical system.
There are 5 times more prescription drug deaths that recreational drug deaths in Canada alone.

It's no wonder. I moved recently, and found a new doctor. Within *2 minutes* of sitting down to talk to him about my insomnia he had prescribed Zoloft for me. No medical history overview, nothing.
I had never had heartburn before, let alone acid burning my throat and lungs, but suddenly I was getting these symptoms. I went back to him, and he prescribed Nexium for my stomach, since Zoloft couldn't be the culprit.
I immediately stopped the Zoloft and haven't had a repeat since. I've also returned to my old doctor. So I have to commute now, at least he doesn't prescribe pills without getting to the root of a problem first.

Cruciform, I feel your pain and then some. I am still undiagnosed with something. I have been given over 25 medication over the past year (most of which I haven't taken) I have had 12 CT scans, 5 EEG's and 1 MRI.
Diagnosis depends on doctor.
I have more testing this week to try to get to the root of the problem. They think I may have brain dammage from boxing. No sh*t! I coulda told them that.

That doctor perscribed Zoloft for insomnia?!! ~very~ strange. I used to take Nexium for reflux but read that it can actually cause more severe esaphogeal problems.
