I had planned to feed crickets (even created a setup for crickets, etc), but I've been unable to find smaller sized crickets at local stores. They all seem too big - bigger than her little head. Am I right that these are too big? That's why I decided to use the Gargoyle Diet as s upplement over the Crested Diet since it has more protein, and I figured I'd give her crickets when she was big enough for the ones in the petstore. What size would I need for a 19 day old crestie - what's the general size rule?

Thanks!

Also, other than crickets what kind of insects might she eat (now or when she's older). I plan on breeding silkworms and madagascar hissing cockroaches and occasionally buying waxworms and butterworms for my skink and was wondering if I can try any of those with her?

The general rule I believe is the prey item should not be larger than the space between the geckos eyes. You can also try different feeder insects as well, some may get eaten while some may not, every crestie is different. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck!

Thank you all for your suggestions and help. Next month is our breeder's expo reptile show (usually has more vendors than our normal monthly reptile show), maybe there will be a new vendor there that might have some smaller crickets.
