Question heat tape

Hi I am thinking of putting heat tape in some cages and in a couple of racks. I am wondering how you guys attach it and cut it and stuff like that. Any help would be great and i would love to see a pic if one of you guys has.
Thanks
Sean

Not to steal the post, but also where can you find heat tape and how do you wire it?

I just rest it underneath, completely unattached. If you wanted to, you could use aluminum foil tape.

Are there any places to get the flexwatt clips besides Big Apple?

I'm betting that they can be had for less than the 2.50 US they charge

When I bought acrylic hinges I paid 2 bucks US per, and then found them here for 1.40 CDN.

That's great but take into consideration the duties when ordering a large shipment, it can be up to 20% of your order, Brokerage fees, exchange rate, shipping fees for the actual company, and more importantly, anything "herp" coming over the border lately IME has been held up for a stupid-rediculous amount of time.

When ordering from Bean Farm, you have to pay GST when it crosses the border and of course the exchange rate. I don't think I had to pay any duties on it, I will go check my receipt right now. Shipping is not so bad, unless you want it expedited, which jacks the price right up.

EDIT:

GST only. NO custums duty. This was a $200 order, you will probably get hit with duties once you cross a certain threshold though...
