Measuring your herps' weights

I was wondering how people measure the weight of their herps. Anyone use digital scales? I have heard many Americans suggesting cheap postal scales at Walmart. Anyone heard of this in Canada and where to get one?

So far, I have been using a small manual kitchen, which is not very useful, since it only get ups to 500g and not very accurate. Suggestions for accurate alternatives that won't break the bank.

Cheers,
JJ

I got my scale here;Canada Weigh I bought the KD-600. Great scale and very acurate. I have to turn the ceiling fan off in my snake room because it affects it.
I use it to weigh all of my snakes every time they shed. I also use it to weigh my rodents before I bag them.
Cheers,
Trevor

What Trevor said. Great website, well-priced scales; I own two just in case.

I also purchased my scale from canadianweigh. I use the 6001T model and am throughly impressed. Their service was great and they shipped it out the day I ordered and the product was excellent. Affordable, accurate, and all the features you could need. It weighs everything from a hatchling gecko to a mid-sized boa constrictor.

I think Costco sells digital scales... I know they work well enough for measuring certain green stuff, but I have yet to try one on my herps.

I keep records of weight after every shed and at the end of the season. Next to my Raytek, it's the gadget I use the most often in the snake room.

I got it at Staples for about $40...
