LOL funny enough a house centipede will scare me more than any known critter is capable of, but the big exotic ones are totally awesome. I have no problems with them at all.

That's sorta funny.. all the spider people who are freaked out by centipedes. I have a healty respect for them but they don't freak me out like spiders and scorpions do. Granted i'm not going to be getting up close and touchy feely with a big centipede anytime soon either ![Wink](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif) But I must admit that Centipedes definately have the same sort of 'dangerous air' that most venomous snakes do as well. You just KNOW that if they could, they'd bite ya. Regardless of whether or not it's actually true.

OK I'm intrigued yet freaked out by my centipede, love my tarantulas and scorpions, but I'm TERRIFIED of house spiders, silverfish, earwigs, weevils, and others.

Centipedes are great! I would own lots if I had infinite time to research them, but I don't. As it stands, I have a S.polymorpha from Colorado.
Cheers,
Dave

It's beautiful!!!
Centipedes are the best!! Out of all my lovely critters, I think that the centipedes are definitely among the most treasured. Can't get enough of 'em!!
