new leo cage

just wanted to post some pics of the cage i am building for my leo. i just have the electrical and the final setup to do now, but it is built.

The lid opens as you can see from the back so i can change the bulbs and stuff. I am not sure what to do with lighting as of yet. I can put a heat bulb in the top for heat and light from above or i can put a florescent just so you can see them. I will be using an UTH on the one side at all times so there will be a hot side and cool side, but what you do you about the overhead light?

If you have any suggestions or anything let me know.

Sorry about the flash off the glass, but you still get the effect.

The pic of the side was not varathaned when the pic was taken, it is just as shiny as the rest of the cage.

thanks hetforhuman, what would you do with the lights, put a heat lamp up top or just a florescent for light. there will be an UTH heater either way.

i think if it was me i would just put in a flourescent for light.

But then again i dont know what you have for a ambient temp in your room where you are going to keep the tank..

Just look at what your temps need to be and go from there man, you may have to put in a heat lamp to get the tank where you need it...

Good luck.

Great job on the cage! That's going to be one spoiled leo! What are the measurements of the cage area itself?

looks great! Like Hetforhuman said about the lights; if the ambiant temp is too low than you will need a heat bulb. Love the door handles
