Color change in gravid females

I noticed that my crestie shed last week but her color is now pale, could this mean she's going to lay eggs soon. She's been gravid for a while. Anyone else notice color change in gravid females?

I've never seen one change colour because she's gravid. Maybe what you're seeing is the normal day/night colour change?

She was really pale and is usually bright yellow at night and normal yellow during the day. Last night she was investigating soil. My other female who mated on the same night as her back in feb layed 2 eggs last night.

Some of my oranges and reds turn pale grey/tan a few days prior to oviposition.

Between the color change and the fact that she's digging around in the soil, I would be willing to bet that you've got eggs coming any time now.

Usually between 72-75, but they do fine anywhere between 68-80.

How long does it usually take for them to hatch?

65-75 days.

You should read Allen Repashy's article about Cresteds...it goes over all of this and then some.

I don't remember the link off the top of my head, but there's a link to it on my Crested Gecko page.
