CDN coins

Anyone notice that most of the canadian coins have a "P" on them??? anyone know why??? find one of the newest coins you got, it should have a P, its small, but could be seen with the naked eye just wanna know if anyone know why?

It's a mint mark. Mint marks usually denote where the coin was minted (eg. "O" for Ottawa), however, the "P" denotes the process by which the coins were made.

Most people don't realize either that the 2 CDN mints make coins for countries worldwide. Some of the finest coins in the world are produced here in Canada. Mark
