I really like this picture, they dont see different species they see another monitor.
This was 1 of many pics taken during a visit with Sobek along to a good friends. Once Sobek lets it be known (very loud hiss, then he approaches head low to the ground and allows her to check him over) to "T" as he approaches that this is her travel container, she will let "T" in to share it with her. I think its great that she gets along with him as she almost killed a male of her own species not long ago. They get along great actually, she acts as if shes protecting him when they are together. I wish more people of many races could get along this well, but then again to them they are 2 monitors not different species.
I really like this picture. Link below.

they are so cute together, my little male bci and female ball python have met a few times and act very curious around each other but never scared or agresive. and yes, it would be great if people were more like them.

They are..
My female blackthroat/whitethroat cross Sobek (over 6ft and 25lbs), and my friends male Argus "T" (if his tail was complete hed be over 5ft, hes 16lbs 7 ounces). Sobek is a "Robert Faust cross" , the result of a female blackthroat bred with a Pete Zulpich cape banded whitethroat (Dozer), then the banded (dozer) bred with one of the female offspring again. Shes a 2nd generation BT/WT/WT cross. Heres a pic also I dont know if its gonna work though becuse my website is giving me problems.

Heres a first generation BT/WT cross
My male "Shadow" is a deformed creature with weird eating habits another "Rob Faust cross", only he is the direct result of a banded whitethroat and a blackthroat breeding, hes over 3 years old catching up fast. He was 2ft and 2lbs when I got him from Rob as a female (oops), hes 4ft long in less than a year. He has a badly deformed fold in his backbone where 4 vertebrae are normal on the right but the left side of those 4 takes the total space of one vertebrae. This causes him to run slower than he should be able to, have alot of trouble climbing etc but I new this before I bought him as well he has half of his thumbs missing from birth. He kills dead thawed mice for 25+ minutes each and sometimes rips them to pieces then forgets he eating. Hes a special case and I gladly accept that, hes unique. Shadow was over 2 years old at 2 ft long, on November 17th he was 3 years old and 4 feet long and over 8 lbs. Shadow is Sobeks half brother/uncle. This poor guy looks like the hunchback of Notre Dame, but hes hyperactive now, and as long as the temps are 40f or higher with no snow he goes outdoors everyday along with Sobek for a while.
