I've only seen a couple specimens in person, but the Taiwanese Blue Beauty snake is nice. I'm not sure how much blue you're looking for but as far as looks and price is concerned, it seems it's an all around good deal.
I hope I helped some.
Have a great night!

But if you think about it, blue doesn't really go with anything. Poor choice of colour, fall colours are in, maybe something in a pastel. Seriously though, flaming aside, did you not question your friends 'interest' in snakes when she had a colour preference? You're fairly limited when your colour preference for any animal is BLUE.

The blue beauty was a good suggestion, gorgeous snakes, though they can get quite large 5-7 feet but staying fairly slender. As far as temperment, they are like a big corn snake
Cheers, Kyle~

I've heard blue beautys are kinda nippy......and if you get a ball python make sure it is from a GOOD reputable breeder.......how about a blue tongue skink. It's not completely blue, but you get a colorful surprise when it opens it's mouth.....

LOL!!! That last link was funny, damn photoshop.
As for the snake, it sounds like your friend is more interested on the color than the snake itself. Therefore i won't suggest anything more than a corn snake, they are cheap and easy to start with. They don't come blue or barbie pink, the color is absolutely irrelevant, tell your friend that.

I think the closest you will be able to get to that one would be a blue beauty, there are some very striking blue specimens in the herp world, but they are either very pricey or venomous.

*grins* Just get a Mexican Black Kingsnake, that way they won't be spoiled with 24/7 blue, but once in a while, they're eyes will turn a nice shade of baby blue and their scales will have a nice light blue tint
