They are screwed together so first I'm going to take them all apart and re-varnish them. While I'm re-assembling them I'm going to put a bead of silicon between the edge and face of each joint. That way when I tighten the screws the slicon will be squeezed out creating a water proof seal between all the pieces.
For heating I'm going to go with UTH.
Cheers,
Trevor

Thanks guys. They do need a little work. They used to be wired with a light, house theremostate and radiant heat panel. It was all taken out so now there are holes to fill or cover.

Im building an enclosure that i want too look like that and you said you were using UTH's....my question is are you gonna mount it directly onto the wood on the bottom or is there another method....mine are gonna be made out of melamine so im wondering if you can stick an UTH to it and will it supply enough heat to the enclosure....?
THanks, Ryan

I'm going to heat them with UTH held to the bottom with tacks along the edges of the heat pad that will act as rails for the heat pad to slide into where it will be heald in place.
Cheers,
Trevor
