i was wondering how many dragons i could keep in a 45 when babies and in a 75 when adults

As far as the baies go, it depends on how long you are going to keep them. As they age they get more agessive and are morelikely to nip each other in cramped spaces. I don't like to keep more than aaobut 20 in a 40 gal breeder, and this many only before they hit about 6.5 inches. Your best bet if you are going to havemany babies is to get some ten gals and put up to ten in each. This is still a bit cramped, and you should aim for closer to three or four if possible.

As for the adults, I would say you could keep three, maybe four dragons n a 75. It depends majorly upon the dragons' attitudes towards each other. Also, no more than one male per tank. Even tho you can keep a male with several females, it is a good idea to keep the males seperate so as to have greater control over when they breed and who is bred. This also reduces the stress on the females of being constantly mated with.

Hmmm. Perhaps my head has found it's way intomy nether regions..... Give me the dimensions on a 75, if you would please. BTW, as far as the babies, I keep mine until they are at least 6 inches long, then sell them, and have not had any problems keeping them in a 40 breeder, except that 20 dragons pooping twice a day adds up fast. Must clean every day. *s*

Okay, genereal rule of thumb is 4sq ft for first two beardies, another 4sq ft for each extra beardie, so three would be the mathmatically correct amount of dragons. If you have dragons that are more passive, not quite as aggressive, then 4 would be acceptable. There are, however, people that will say that a 150 gal tank is just barely big enough for one beardie. Often, they only have one bd. 4 is okay if they are laid back, otherwise, 3 is the tops.
