Red face housing geckos

i am about to get a shipment of golden geckos and other herps soon . my question is can i put a pair of golden geckos and a pair of tokay geckos in the same tank? because they are from the same place, south east asia. the tank is about 20 gallon. i think its too small but you never know. and has anyone breed golden and tokays together, is that evan possable? hahaha me and my ideas well thats it for now

NO!! In the wild goldens are a natural prey for tokays. If you want to mix 2 species and cross breed put some White Line Geckos in with you Goldens, they breed a lot on nature and have interesting babies. Right now I have a hybrid female of a golden and white line breeding with a full blood male WLG and I have about 6 eggs from them. Hope this helps,

Jeff

I agree! Big time! Do not let the Goldens anywhere near the Tokays. In fact don't house anything with Tokays as it will be lunch.

Even the same species being housed together can cause issues. Two males will fight. I had two Golden Geckos "dumped" on me a few years ago. One literally bit a huge chunk of mouth from the other guy, twice. I seperated them and the injured one is fine now but both live on their own.

Actually I dont have any right now, its turns out I JUST deleted the folder with the pics of them yesterday. Basicly she has a shorter tail, not all curly like the normal WLG's, she is a lot more yellow and has a very bright white stripe down her back. She is also a lot more placid and calmer being handled, but im not sure if that is a part of the "hybrid".
